When we started on TwinWorX, the platform was filled with useful data but the navigation and outdated interface made it hard to use. Information from multiple building systems was scattered across a cluttered interface, making it difficult for property managers to quickly understand what mattered.

Our focus was to reduce that complexity. We redesigned the experience to organize data more intuitively, surface critical alerts faster, and make ongoing monitoring and reporting easier to navigate. The goal was a system that turns dense operational data into clear, actionable insight.

To address the challenges of TwinWorX, our team implemented a comprehensive redesign focused on enhancing usability and clarity. We began by conducting user research to understand the daily workflows and pain points of property management professionals. This informed our decision to prioritize intuitive navigation and real-time data visualization.

As part of our collaboration on TwinWorX, we tackled the challenge of revamping a sophisticated digital building management platform aimed at enhancing the efficiency of large commercial properties. Our goal was to transform this platform into an intuitive and user-centric solution, leveraging a visually engaging interface to deliver clear, actionable insights and streamline day-to-day management tasks.

The original TwinWorX navigation was complex and inefficient, making it difficult for users to find essential tools and data. We restructured the information architecture to group related functions more logically and improve predictability across the platform.

The redesigned side navigation gives faster access to dashboards, reports, and alerts, reducing friction and unnecessary clicks. Nested navigation, sidebars, and breadcrumbs help users understand where they are and move confidently through the system. Consistent patterns across the experience lower the learning curve and make the platform easier to use day to day.

The original TwinWorX dashboards relied on complex charts that were hard to interpret quickly. We simplified the data visualization to reduce cognitive load and make insights easier to understand at a glance.

Instead of dense pie charts, we introduced clearer bar and line graphs supported by direct labels and short text explanations. This approach prioritizes readability and quick comparison, helping building managers understand trends and make decisions without decoding the visuals.
